Living Faith KC started with a dream to see the Gospel of Jesus saturate the Northeast & Kansas City Metro area. The vision was to start a church in the Northeast and to expand from there around the city & to the world. The desire was to be a part of a church that taught a deep love of Jesus and the Gospel with a strong emphasis on living out those truths. The name, Living Faith KC, was adopted as a result of this commitment to living out our faith in every day life. We are not only committed to sound doctrine but living out the doctrine we preach together as a family of God with a mission to the world.

In the beginning, Living Faith KC consisted of a small group of people, including Kevin, Jason and Bobby. Vince joined us not too long after we had started meeting to form the church at the beginning of 2010 we began forming a core group.

Since there are four guys and others joining us, we are still forming and figuring out our pastoral roles, but we soon began meeting in homes each week. We met from house to house for approximately the first 10 months and we learned to make this a primary focus of our meeting times and places. Meeting in homes and with one-another’s seeing each others life is a vital and important part of what it means to ‘be the church’. We strive toward being conformed to the image of Christ as we consider all we have been given by God, and point one another to the gospel.

We now gather on Sunday evenings, meeting in the St. John’s Anglican building where we gather together to worship as one family. We hope this to be a springboard for the rest of the city where we train young men and women to be living their faith around the city, and we desire to train encourage and foster young men into ministry.

However you will hear us say often, “ This place isn’t our church, but our church is the people of God here, and until you know our people you don’t know our church.” It is our hope that when you come to visit that you find real relationships striving toward the same goal, to be in Christ, and living out Christ to the world.

Today, people gather each Sunday to worship at Living Faith KC Sunday Gathering at 6:00 PM. From there they go out to be the church among their friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers, and it is our hope to send back out into the world for missions both here and abroad, in planting or sending overseas!
